ICC World Cup Record Corner
  • Canada has played in three previous editions of the ICC CWC, in 1979, 2003 and 2007.
  • It won its first-ever ICC CWC match when it defeated Bangladesh by 60 runs in 2003.
  • It has lost every game since that victory and is currently eight matches without a win – the joint third worst losing streak in ICC CWC history.
  • It qualified for the event after finishing as runners-up at the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in 2009.
  • John Davison held the record for the fastest ICC CWC hundred, off 67 balls against the West Indies in 2003, until Matthew Hayden broke his record in 2007.
  • Canada made the lowest score in ICC CWC history when it was 36 all out against Sri Lanka in 2003.
  • That match lasted just 140 balls making it the shortest completed match, in terms of balls bowled, in CWC history.
