  • Bangladesh has played in the last three editions of the tournament and recorded one of the most stunning victories in the event’s history when it defeated Pakistan in 1999.
  • It has never made it to the semi-finals of the ICC CWC.
  • It also achieved victories over Bermuda, India and South Africa in the 2007 event.
  • Talha Jubair is the youngest player in ICC CWC history – he made his event debut at the age of 17 years 70 days against the West Indies at ICC CWC 2003.
  • No Bangladesh player has ever made an ICC CWC century – Mohammad Ashraful’s 87 against South Africa in 2007 is the highest ahead of the 2011 event.
  • Mashrafe Mortaza is the only Bangladesh player to take four wickets or more in an innings – a feat he achieved in his side’s famous win over India in 2007.
  • After beating England at Bristol in 2010 it had achieved ODI victories over all the ICC Full Members.
