  • It has never made an ICC CWC final, despite having reached the semi-finals on five occasions (1975, 1979, 1992, 1999 and 2007).
  • Glenn Turner is one of three players to have scored 150 or more on his ICC CWC debut – he hit 171 not out against East Africa at the ICC CWC 1975.
  • Brendon McCullum holds the record for the fastest ICC CWC fifty – he scored it off just 20 balls against Canada at the ICC CWC 2007.
  • In its ICC CWC 1999 match against the West Indies, all 10 New Zealand players were out caught – the first time it had happened in ICC CWC history.
  • Chris Cairns and Roger Twose hold the record for the highest fifth wicket stand in ICC CWC history – 148 against Australia in 1999.
  • Stephen Fleming has captained his side in more ICC CWC games than anybody else (27 games).
  • Martin Snedden is the only player in ICC CWC history to concede over 100 runs in an innings (against England in 1983).
